Where Rural Whitby sits
Rural Whitby is everything in the Town of Whitby outside the urban boundary: the farmland, woodlots and hamlets that begin north of Highway 407 and run to the Scugog and Uxbridge lines, plus the countryside west of Lake Ridge Road and around Coronation Road in the southwest. It wraps around Brooklin on three sides and takes in Ashburn, Myrtle, Myrtle Station and Macedonian Village. Where a listing sits right at a subdivision edge, agents sometimes file it under Brooklin or Taunton North instead.
